wcExchange

The Intranet Mail Solution for the Wildcat! Interactive Net Server!

wcExchange is a transport provider that exchanges mail between the Microsoft Exchange Inbox client and your Wildcat! Interactive Net Server. It allows your Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 network users to receive, read and reply to their Wildcat! Interactive Net Server e-mail and all Wildcat! Interactive Net Server message conferences via their Microsoft Exchange (a.k.a. Windows Messaging) Inbox. This means that local users can receive instant notification of e-mail right at their desktop. Plus with the Wildcat! Interactive Net Server security profile system, administrators can extend Usenet newsgroups to the desktop with complete control over content.

The combination of the Wildcat! Interactive Net Server and wcExchange gives companies the power to extend their corporate e-mail system to the Internet. You can route Internet e-mail right to the Microsoft Exchange Inbox on your users’ desktops. Likewise, you can create folders for any of the thousands of Usenet newsgroups from the Internet and make them available to users on your network. Unlike a standard NNTP server, you have complete control over which newsgroups are available and you have the flexibility to configure a different assortment of newsgroups for each set of users on your network.

wcExchange is a standard feature of the Wildcat! Interactive Net Server Enterprise Edition and is available as an option for the Community and Business Editions.
