Xpress Net

XpressNet is for registered customers of Platinum Xpress. It is an optional exclusive network you may join to get dedicated additional support from Santronics Software. It also serves well to learn from fellow Platinum Xpress operators.

When you purchase PX, you are automatically assigned by Santronics, a XpressNet FTN address (99:1/xxx). To join the network, read the following document:

Our XpressNet FTN address is 99:1/1. You should have a XpressNet setup in your nodelist definition setup. So all you have to do is recompile when you get the new updated listing.

Please note: You may sent Fidonet Crash Netmail to us for technical support questions. However, due to high modem to modem cost and high loads, we do not quarantee immediate responses. Our preferred method of communications is to use the Echo forums or via Internet email. If urgency is required, call voice.

How to Join

All registered Platinum Xpress Customers are welcome to join our private FTN network, XpressNet. Generally, your node number is assigned the week your order is processed, provided we have all of the necessary information in our records, and subsquently entered in our Nodelist. Nodelists are updated regularly transmitted when you poll your uplink.

To request your XpressNet node number, contact andrea@santronics.com and it will be sent along with information on your closest hub, their node number and the available conferences and file areas you can join.

When you have determined the Hub with whom you wish to link, you then send a netmail message using your XpressNet address and theirs, and include the Session Level Password you wish to use. Your Hub will then link you to the available conference and file areas and you're all set to poll your uplink!
